Good initiative, too bad the UT Governor (Cox) didn't sign on this as well:
Operation Open Road to address supply chain issues

I'm not crazy about that thing. As a country, we keep lowering our standards for drivers of commercial vehicles. Rather than pay good wages, we give them automatic transmissions and lane departure warning systems. We've lowered the bar to entry and let the wages stagnate to the point that many great commercial drivers have left the field in search of better pay/benefits and the newer generation of drivers are mindless idiots.Good initiative, too bad the UT Governor (Cox) didn't sign on this as well:

Every time I go on a road trip I have this thought. The term professional driver has more or less vacated the field. Surprised how much bad driving I witness from "professional" drivers every time I take to the road.I'm not crazy about that thing.
