I just got my first shot today. I currently have antibodies from getting Rona in May, so I do feel kind of crappy but that was predicable.

At the end of the day I got it because I had to for work. I need my job to survive and I need my insurance to take care of my family. I've lived all over the world and did 10 years in the military. I've had vaccines that most people don't even know exist.

So far the snozberries still taste like snozberries and there are only a few more voices in my head than usual.

Just to give an update here....
I had a severe reaction to the vaccine last night and my wife had to call 911. Most of the day I felt fine. I was out working on her little motorhome a good portion of the day. I had aches and pains but that was expected from the shot. I came in and sat down to watch the Broncos game and started to feel crappy. Everything started to get static-y and I got up to get my wife from the other room. From there I don't remember much. I woke up on the tile floor from passing out. The next thing I remember was my wife on the phone with 911 back in the living room. Apparently I passed out 3 more times. I have no memory of probably 10 minutes. The EMTs came and took my vitals ( by that time I felt fine). They basically said to call if I felt crappy again.

Yup more or less what happened to me as well. Seems fairly common with people that had Rona and then got the nanites

They said to expect the first shot to be the one to make me feel sick just because I already had the antibodies and they would react with the shot. When the EMTs checked my vitals they said my blood pressure was good. I have high blood pressure normally so that makes me feel like maybe my BP maybe crashed?

I got the Moderna. I went through the VA because of a medication they prescribe me that has a lot of interactions. They only had that and the J&J. A factor may have been that I am just barely 3 months after my infection. They won't even do the vaccine any closer than that.

Very much like my reaction to shot #2. No medic call, but the doc and team at the clinic said that's not an unusual response in someone with a strong immune system. Your existing antibodies probably amped you immune system, and there you were, on the floor...

I went and got my second shot on Sunday, had to call out of work Monday. That's basically the first time I've ever called out here. I was running 102°, seems to have mostly dropped off now but damn do I have a headache.

I got my second shot yesterday. By the time I went to bed, I could not move my arm more than just a few inches. This morning I can at least lift it to the desk to type. No feeling ill though.

This post might be a little long but I want to provide all the information that I can to people who want it.

After what happened Saturday the VA wanted me to come in today and see a doctor. We discussed what happened and agreed that I had a severe autoimmune response to the Moderna vaccine which cause my blood pressure to crash. The doctor stated that while mine was the most severe case he had personally seen, this was fairly common. He also said that the Moderna vaccine appeared to be much more likely to cause this response than the others. None of this is mentioned before getting the shot, or in the paperwork they give you when you get it.

I think this information should be discussed much more freely and that medical professionals need to do a better job at screening patients before giving these vaccines. Clearly it is known that this particular vaccine has some higher risk factors for some people than the others might, but it doesn't merit a frank discussion before getting it for some reason. Some providers are much more interested in getting the vaccination numbers up than making sure its as safe as possible for their patients. Other than myself I personally know of 2 other people who have taken the Moderna and had BP issues of varying degree. My sister in law got her first dose on Sunday. After seeing my pulse and BP issues after I asked her to check her resting heart rate on her Apple watch. Within hours of getting the first dose her pulse has dropped 20 BPM and not gone back up. She is a VERY healthy person and shouldn't have any serious issues, but this was not discussed at all before they gave her the injection. On the other end of the spectrum a co workers brother died last month within 24 hours of getting the vaccine. To be totally transparent he was a VERY unhealthy individual with uncontrolled diabetes amongst other issues. He got the shot when it was probably not really safe to do so, it cause is BP to crash, and due to his health he was unable to recover and died. The vaccine was clearly a contributing factor.

I do have medical issues that were contributing factors to what happened to me. I do have high BP and take medication for it. I take several other medications for other issues as well and I am sure these could all contributing factors. I should never have been given the Moderna vaccine. Previous COVID infection also appears to be a factor with the Moderna. I should have been advised to do one of the others or that it may not be a good idea for me to get it at all. I have now been advised not to take the second shot or any boosters due to the possible dangers. The doctor actually advised me to be extremely careful taking ANY vaccinations in the future.

Like I said my purpose of this post is to provide information. I'd also like to ask if you or anyone you know has had a similar experience to, if they are comfortable, to speak up. At least speak up to their doctors. After several hours on the phone with the VA yesterday, it was clear that they were far more interested in trying to find another cause than addressing the vaccine as the cause. Luckily I had a doctor today that really listened and had seen similar issues. This needs to be addressed by the medical community. Had this happened while I was driving I could have killed people. I was not properly screened and as a result could have had a fatal reaction, or seriously affected someone else's lives.

And finally, because I imagine it will come up... I am not an antivaxer. For the majority of people these vaccines are probably perfectly safe, but not for everyone. Sorry for the long post :)

@Herzog @UT410 this is part of the reason I wanted to share my experience. Since the begining of pandemic it's pretty much been "my side is right and shame on you for your views". It's got to stop. We are all Americans and need to respect each other's choices and rights. My family will obviously at this point not be completely vaccinated. We have all had COVID and have antibodies, but we will also take extra care to help protect ourselves and others. At this point if nothing else I guess I learned that I have one hell of an autoimmune response 😁
