Any idea of how the pump failed or do you expect PSC to follow up with you what they find?

When it happened it appeared to have bulged the can around the pump causing to also leak. The speculation is that something blocked the pressure release valve and made it pressurize the can. It was still barley pumping some pressure but hardly noticeable. I was only able to tell it was still pumping by the fact that once all the fluid in the can leaked out then it was truly hard to steer. I will email them later about it but i dont expect to hear anything being such a big company and it failing so prematurely.

Pimped out the steering a little more the other day. I have been hearing a slight wine out of the new pump so who tf knows. I blew out all the lines trying to get the old fluid out.

Installed a check valve on the steering pressure line off the pump120628

Installed unicorn piss steering fluid, or at least priced at unicorn piss fluid.

I’m going with unicorn pricing sheet

Go back eleventy billion pages on pirate, somewhere between a grain of sand and a violent storm of events of what is now Ultra4, way back when the gods actually communicated through the technology of forums before they left because of keyboard ass clowns, sponsorship dollars and ndas, there were many, many, many threads and arguments within chasing the witch craft of steering with pitch forks and torches. Ask 12 guys about fluid and you’ll get 57 answers. It’s a rabbit hole about as deep as shock oil.

One OG racer claimed redline was responsible for destroying his system upon startup and I’ve been flamed for my choice yet my fluid is just as clean as the day I poured it. I don’t think I got lucky nor do I think my oil is superior to any other brand.

You’re well on your way to getting your system dialed in with the correct components, quality clean fluid is just a bonus.

Edit: oh and wix:grinpimp:

Bla bla bla Ford bla

I just when with what psc recommends also i dont think they like warrantying a pump if your not using what they say to. I find it funny that my stock 5.3 pump lasted a good year and half with just cheap power steering fluid before it quit. I really haven't noticed much steering improvement with the high dollar pump or fluid.

Smoked the short shaft bouncing around the waterfalls on hanging tree the other day. After wheeling in the water with other friends that have stickies i have concluded i need stickies to be cool. I couldn't climb the last water fall in my two seater with all 73 squirrelpower singing after 15 attempts and then rocklizard friend with the same drive train and Krawlers doesnt even slip a tire crawling it.

Austin bought some fun stickers off amazon so we had some fun with them.

My rc crawler crawling a Krawler. Ya i got some used 39" Reds to put on the old gal. I want them to be mounted on their own bead lock so if any juan knows of some 17" 8x6.5 bead locks for sale that would be cool otherwise i may be making a 17" split rim dual beadlock wheel similar to a 16.5 HMMWV wheel.

Didn’t think about TWF, thanks Carl.

Naked price isn’t too bad for us common folk who can’t make things round at home in our underwear while programming the plasma or running the lathe

Split wheels are out. Juan of my friends is able to get Racelines at cost through one of his friends so i went with that route. I took them out and idled up some gnarly stuff and even with 20psi in them it was like the stickers were glued to the earth. Im excited to put some water in them meow.

42" tsl next to krawler. Granted there was only about 5 ps in the tsl and 20 in the krawler, both off the buggy and both mounted on their wheels.

Did some wheeling today with Austin. We all got set up with some radios and decent headset and i tell you what wheeling is way more enjoyable. Its so convenient to carry on a conversation or spot for your friend with out having to yell over a motor or get every one to shut their rigs down. Also the traction difference with the krawlers is stupid. I have 10lbs in them right now and the stick to the rocks like magnets to steel.

After wheeling i figured it was time to gets some maintenance done on here before trail hero. I knew i had some loose u joints in the rear and after further inspections it looks like the front are in need too. Austin took them off for me tonight and said one of the rears had turn the need bearings to dust. Im glad i went with massive 1410 f/r. Smaller joints may have not as survived as long with dust in the caps.

He pulled my front cover which had been leaking since the hanging tree trip i broke the shaft on. I have always been on the brake clean it super good and silicon bandwagon and never had a problem. I had read of people up selling lube lockers saying that silicon works good till you hit the cover hard enough and then it will just keep leaking. Well after the silicon let me down i went ahead and got a lube locker to try out. I would say the silicon job got a work out>

I hate how the diff covers have a big flat lip to catch on things so this go around i got a semi trailer leaf spring and cut and fit it so that it wont have a lip on the very bottom to catch. I figured if the leaf spring doesn't crack where its welded on then it should at least be a harder slippier (<that word is funny spelled out) steel than mild steel would be.

My sweet wiring job i never shown off. Under that mess of wires is a wiring schematic written in sharpy. I had to crack it open to install a cigarette lighter outlet to run the radio.

Made it down to sandhollow and ran out of talent not long after unloading lol. I blame it on impaired driving, I had been awake for about 30hrs by the time i rolled, I also had some tunnel vision trying to park next to my old buggy while there. This happened at the trail breaker event just parking with every one else lol. I slid off the ledge on onto my front tires and looked at my back tires to see that my r/h side was going to drop way before my l/h side. I could of saved it by backing up a few times but i just drove off and slowly rolled onto my lid. Only two things that where hurt where my light bar tubing and my pride lol, one of my hollowed space bolts broke and it bent slightly, im sure we can straighten it back. We flipped it back over with the help of my old buggy lol and a nice man in a tj named Sean. We let it sit for a few hrs and watched the trail breaker and then we try turning the engine over with a ratchet and it was hydro locked. We pulled the plug and drained the cylinders and then wheeled the rest of the day burning oil clouds from the oil in the intake lol. 72072095_2483381791750096_4387386909081468928_o.jpg71656269_2433006200111505_8504849017828540416_n.jpg71519283_2483382011750074_5886616286804312064_n.jpg71489490_2483382168416725_2943823752078557184_o.jpg70563307_2483381885083420_4311882865781506048_o.jpg

Finally ran into Greame Tydeman the one that inspired my buggy. His was built back in 06' and has been changed a few times. 71520714_2483360348418907_4458973766113820672_o.jpg71547462_2483360178418924_3437246517214183424_o.jpg71909393_2483360441752231_2225365896296136704_o.jpg72222616_2483360128418929_3692462553503367168_o.jpg
