man, I just missed out on a great 4-door in Provo. It was sold within 2 hours. How can those of us with a day job compete with guys with cash in 2 hours?

Found quite a few pre runners on ksl for a "decent" price. I never looked at these when I was looking for my second gen, it's amazing how close in price they are running to their successor

this one could be cool.

I love the 4cyl motor (though I've never tried it in front of an auto). Plus I'd have to do a 4x4 conversion to it. And the color is ugly... ok maybe not my ideal rig... If it were black, white, or gold, I'd be tempted...

I think rebuilt titles are worth looking into. Really depends on what it was. My 3rd gen runner had a salvaged title. It was involved in a flood, and I never had an issue because of it. When I bought it I was able to get it for 6k less than the same year, and it on average had about half the miles.

The clear coat started going maybe a little earlier than the same year, but that could have been as much from me never washing it, or the first owner never washing it.

No funny smells or anything

Actually it was one vehicle I actually held onto for awhile, I go through cars like you do and I had that for about 10 years.

Pretty good record considering i've bought and sold about 6 cars this year

Not approaching your or cascadia's level though

For someone that goes through vehicles often, I personally think a Rebuilt title is a terrible idea. You will have a much harder time selling, no matter the reason it has the branded title and obviously you will never be able to get what the vehicle is actually worth. I did a rebuilt title on a Jeep and ended up selling it for quite a bit less than it should have been sold for on ebay. The guy who bought it was from Idaho and said he could get that removed in Idaho.
