I probably could pull it out,,,, if the frame would hold...:rofl::eek:

Maybe, I never went down to the Ford.... some guys went to check it out while we were rigging the Chev, once they said the trans did nothing I didn't bother to hike down.

They rounded up a little ATF and said the trans responded, but it needs way more than we had.

With no more snow and a working trans, you and TT (or the like) could pull it down the wash a bit and them up the hill and to the road.

I took eleventyteen hundred pics with mBryson's camera....

the runaway scout that tried to go on a murdering rampage? http://s193.photobucket.com/albums/z277/redhead1987/vehicle dugway recovery/ the pics i took, not near as many but a few.

Good times! Wish I coulda been there, especially with a jeep. Nice job guys!

Bummer about the f*rd. Looks like a job for the 850' cables that Russ has, along with the super snatch blocks. You could hook the cable to a stupiduty on 1-15 or maybe Redwood road, hook the snatch on an anchor rig or a tree to redirect the pull, and run the cable over hill and dale across a couple counties and down to the f*rd. I did that on a rescue a couple years ago, didn't even get my feet dirty. Until I got stuck messing around on the way back out...

The only two rigs that really fought the snow were sporting 38 boggers, and some 37? Toyos, the Toyos were not the win. Todd did pretty damn good on his BFG MTs

I think I saw some dude on the way out that stuck on the dry highway with some Iroks.

:rofl: funny to hear that on the Iroks...any truth there?

yabutt Todd doesn't really wheel...he just kind of transports from one location to another through wormholes in his zuzu spacewart.

When the snow melts some, than there will be mud.
when it gets to a point where we think we can get the ford out I'll post again and any one who wants can come help.

Wouldn't it be easier to get it out (from experience) after the snow melts on a freakin' cold day when everything is frozen? I went on a rescue once and timed it good enough that I literally drove the vehicle right out. I didn't get to use any of my toys but that was ok.

Could heavier rigs on 38+" tires get to it? It looked like the GM had at least 285's on it so I wondered if fullsize rigs on 315's might not be able to in the snow.

Also, I was only half joking about that cable. It's freakin' long and Russ has a few. If you can stage pulling rigs in a place with traction in a straight pull or use the snatch to redirect, it sometimes works better than winching because once you get it moving you've got some momentum.

Also, didn't you say that a little tranny fluid helped so lots might be enough to get it to a trailer (with help)?

I'm trying to look at mbryson's pics but my laptop is choking on the file.

a fullsize on 38"s should get to where we went. my blazer is well over 5k pounds, scout was a little over 5k, montero was just about 5k (dont know how much gear was in the truck). main thing is the tires need to be really aggressive.

the f250 needs alot more tranny fluid (which we didnt have) and is turned to where getting it to go up the hill from where the winch vehicles were anchored wouldnt work.
