Hemp oil for Bio-diesel?? I heard a radio interview with a guy that claimed that America could easily grow enough hemp trees (that do not have THC) to end all oil imports now and in the future. According to him Henry Ford hated the oil companies and grew all of his own fuel this way.

You all and your gay diesels  I just landed a 110 gallon propane tank for for my big block chev dually. I will be able to fill up for 1.50 a gallon ;) I'm also keeping the 50 gallons of fuel under it. I'm looking at throwing a 502, AFR heads with a supercharger under the hood.

Doesn't it still cost more than regular diesel?

Stacy David on Spike TV's 'Trucks' did a segment on biodiesel. He made a batch and it came out to be roughly seventy cents a gallon.

I also heard there is a process that has been found that will turn shale rock into oil... And I also think taping Alaska (keeping enviromental issues in mind) would be a good step to hold us over for a while

BUT... I don't think that it will ever bring the prices down much if at all. The rich will just keep getting richer, if you get my drift.

My biggest question is: WHY IN THE HELL IS DIESEL MORE THAN REGULAR GASOLINE??? :mad2: :mad2: I want to find these fat cats and ***** slap'em.

I think the trick to it is to get a large group of people (friends, family) together to invest into the Biodiesel kit. That way it's not such a steep price to get started.

I seriously want to get into this.

I was thinking about burning gease in my truck. Then found a chevy sprint for 300 bucks. Little brother has one gets 60 miles to the gallon. I'm gonna park my powerstroke and just use it to pull with.
On another note, you realize that all the oil in the salt lake area comes from the uinta basin or wyoming don't you. Plenty of oil in those areas to fuel all of our cars. The oil companys are just matching crude prices. And getting filthy rich doing that.

this is my biggest ***** also. the way I have always understood it is diesel is a by-product of the refining of gasoline. SO WTF if it is a by-product why is it .20 more a gallon then premium???????????????????? :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

I seen that segment as well. You diesel boys could team up and buy one setup and then go around to the fast food places and collect old veggy oil ;)
That would save you alll some money. That and make them stinkin diesels smell a little better :D

Talk with Andre (dieselcruiserhead on RME)... He is involved in the Utah Bio-Diesel Co-Op, they have really made some advances in the past couple years... I know Dal-Solio gas station in Midvale has the stuff on the pump, and the co-op members get a discount.

Andre also runs his own brewed fuel, go wheeling with him and you will know it... smells like a McDonalds down the trail... :D
