I'm looking for a garage heater. It needs to be natural gas. My garage is already plumbed with natural gas. I am looking for something on the inexpensive side. What have you guys got.

I had it on KSL for 50 bucks and people didnt want to drive to Tooele for it so I junked it it was like 700 dollar unit when new

But stuck more often.
I picked mine up from Home depot. Think it was a $800 unit. It heats up my 3 car garage in no time. I really love it. At the same time I also insulated my garage doors and blew in a foot of insulation in the attic above the garage. I think these items helped the most and should be seriously considered if putting in a heater.

Is forced air better than radiant heat?

I have seen them at the DI from time to time.

But stuck more often.
I think radiant is better as it tends to heat up items in a shop, not just the air. So if you open a door and let all the cold air in, stuff inside the shop are still warm and help to keep it warmer inside. You'll pay a lot more for it. The next level up is probably heated floors which works even better. It's not really an option unless the shop is a new build.
(in spring, so that probably doesn't help you right now...)

I have the Big Max as well and it maintains 45 degrees in the 3 car garage with very little effort and gets up to 65 in just a few minutes. Picked mine up from Lowes as well. If you don't have a BVent stubbed through the roof already you should hurry - nothing worse than working with stiff shingles.
