I figured I would stick with the tacoma theme. I looked at finding a tacoma bed to graft onto the 4runner but that didn't work out. The measurements didn't work. A tacoma is too wide. I wanted to use a tailgate with the stock mounts but it was around 4" too wide. I also was having a hard time finding one. I have to come up with a different plan for a tailgate now.

Haven't worked on this much. I am doing some work on my buddy's rig. He bought a chassis that someone else abandoned and I am going to set up the suspension and mount the drivetrain.

So after a year of working on trents buggy I finally got my 4runner back in the garage...except it's a different one. After thinking about it alot I decided to run a stock frame. I really liked the idea of building one, but it bumps me up a class if I compete. Also the other 4runner didn't have a title so it would of been some work to even get it tagged. So here is the replacement. I am thinking I will do it in stages. The first stage will be getting the motor and drivetrain in. I want to drive it. Then I can work on the body and cage stuff.uploadfromtaptalk1441081209521.jpguploadfromtaptalk1441081229652.jpg

I am starting another thread for the new one. I figured it would be a little simpler to follow. It is the 2nd chance 4runner. I'll try to keep it up to date.
