Its getting hard to find.

We used to LOVE Lorenas in Woods Cross. They have recently changed their chili verde along with some other things and frankly it sucks now.

Weve been to a lot of places and just havent been satisfied. There has to be better mexican around besides Rancheritos and Paco Taco.

SOOO....

whats some of your favorite places?

we went to El Chihuahua In Holladay last saturday. Super expensive and not very good. I got a Chili verde burrito and a cheese enchilada. Worst enchilada sauce I have ever had and the pork in the burrito reminded me of canned church meat. Super soggy and not very good.

We need some redemption quick!

Cafe Sabor or el toro or supper burrito in Logan are really good. there is a good street taco sit down place next to the walmart in north Logan. it will be a drive for you but they are pretty good.

I've heard good things about El Habanero in Magna. I'm not a huge fan though--but I've come to the realization I don't like "real" mex food. I like smothered burritos from La Puente. (or the various names those restaurants are constantly becoming...La Luna, La Fuente, La Fountain, etc)

Red Iguana would be the best. There is a reason they built a 2nd one around the corner and they both have a line out the door every night.

The Al Pastor at Chungas on 200 S and 900 W. is ridiculously good too.

Sweet! Looks like I have a few to try that I havent. I will try the Ventanas first since its close to home. I think someone has told me about that Chungas place as well. That will be second. Red Iguana third.

We did go to La Puente. meh.....

The best burrito I have ever had was in Portland. It was a place called El Grillo. I would go to Portland just to eat there!

La Chaca Mexican Grill in Midvale... Love their food.. be prepared to order via pointing at the pictures and items on the menu if you don't speak Spanish.

Casa Del Rey is decent. Red Iguana is really good, I like Lone Star Taqueria east on 7200 south. Best fish tacos in town, and the owner has a place south of the border. Anything chain sucks, but will go to Del Taco a dozen times before Taco Smell. Anything with a La in front I won't eat at again. Beto's and Rancherito isn't bad... A couple of the street vendors downtown SLC aren't terrible..

I moved here from SoCal 6 years ago, and just haven't been impressed. In San Diego, the Roberto's chain and almost any **berto's is decent...

There is a place advertising on the radio at 7200 south and State I have been wanting to try...

Take my opinions with a big grain of salt, I preferred to eat as the locals did when overseas in the Navy. Some of the best food was in back alleys.
