Good Toilets?

As an update to this, I'm now about 3 months into bidet ownership. Both my wife and I cannot believe we went this long without one, and are a little irritated that they aren't more common in this country in general. (as opposed to Europe, etc where they're more common) The phrase we use to describe it is "Stupid Americans" whenever we're particularly impressed.

So....thank you, Imaginary Internet Friends. :)

Do you use little towels for the wiping or just use TP?

I told my wife I want one due to RME influence and she said it's the towels that turn her off. Her family is obsessed with everything European so they all have them and use towels I guess. That sounds gross to me.

We use TP. Just a lot less of it. :)

I think all the toilets in my 3 year old house are leaking from the tank. It really grinds my gears and I should probably figure out how to get them to stop.

Gasket between the tank and bowl. Very easy. Could potentially just be loose bolts holding the tank on, check them.

Not at all. No issues with non-heated water. I've never tried a heated one, so maybe it's a luxury I don't know I'm missing?
Our Bidet has been very popular in our home for 3 of the 4 of us. My wife startled our daughter with it and she won't have anything to do with it now. My wife used a toilet/bidet in a teachers lounge and fell in love with the heated seat and warm water and said we now need one like it.

When we first purchased our house, it had what I am guessing were the original toilets in the two main bathrooms upstairs. After a wonderful dinner at Tucanos, I went back to the house to work on it before heading back to my parents for the night. I had a small moment of needing a toilet right that second. After that performance, attempted to flush... It inevitably clogged. Almost as if it was turning in its resignation after its 29 year tenure of life. After churning the dooky butter for 30 mins, I gave up and left... Had a plumber come check it out; at that point the water had gone down. Guy said it was fine, no clog. Tried to re-clog it, nothing. Said those older toilets were known to not have good pressure, or the piping itself was the older/smaller style. Something like that... I didn't care, those toilets were set for execution. We picked up a couple elongated toilets (IIRC they were $200 each) from Lowes and we haven't had a single clog or issue since. We have been in the house fully for about a year and a half. They have been great.

We also upgraded the master with a bidet from Costco. Really like it, other than the toilet seat doesn't sit fully flush on the toilet anymore. Haven't really looked into a new seat or anything. Our water line for the toilet must be really close to the heating vents in the floor because in the morning the water is nice and warm for about 10 seconds of use. The cold water isn't bad either though. On a hot day its nice to have the cold water.
