Gotta love life in a small town

After our adventurous weekend in the city, I was reminded how blessed we are to live in a small town. Tuesday morning Chris couldn't find his truck keys. Tore apart his jacket, overalls, and the house with no success. Goes out to see if they're somewhere in his truck and lo and behold, they are in the ignition. Yep, Henry sat in the driveway for 4 days with the keys in him! That got me to thinking about the joys of life in a small town.

Advantages:

Everyone knows how to get into our house so if I ever forget something, it can be brought to me. Example: forgot pajamas on our wedding weekend, the neighbor's grabbed them for me on their way out of town.

It's not uncommon for a local contractor to leave us checks under his wooden raccoon's bahookie on his front stoop.

Bob, the UPS man, drops packages off in Chris's truck on random job sites.

I have paid my mechanic with baked goods.

I know that my chiropractor has a stripper pole at his house.

Chris has run his errands in the backhoe. Yes, it will go through the Sonic drive-thru.

That is whay I can not wait until I move back home(start new job on the 24th of this month). Less then 1000 people in it and I know my arm is going to get sore the first week from waeving to everyone that drives by. Plus most of the ones out there no the jeep wave.

no disrespect to those who live on the wasatch front, but I would have to make well over 6 figures to live in a city.

Hell, I hate this one (idaho Falls)

I wish That I could move to a smaller place like monticello or scipio.

So one of the advantages to living in a small town is that if you leave your keys in your Ford no one will steal it in the winter because it wont start?

 I leave the keys in my vehicles every night

Granted, they are parked in my garage when I do it  I would love to live in a small town (or no town at all, a Yurt in the backwoods would work great for me) but the wife won't be having that :D

Exactly! That's why I'm always on my best behaviour and have never done anything that might be considered questionable...

I would love the quiet and lack of crowds/traffic etc.

But I think I would exhaust the acceptable supply of strange in about 4 weeks in a small town ;) ;)

I kid, I kid.

But no really.
