Just been ripping it around drove up to Park City the other day and it's got great power pulls 70 up Parleys pretty good. I'd pondering going up from 4.10's to 4.56's and maybe swapping to a Detroit but I'm not sure if it would make it less friendly to drive.
I've been annoyed that this thing doesn't have a hitch ever since I got it.
So I added one.
I don't really plan to tow anything and the leaves are way too soft for it: Maybe some mountain bikes or dirt bike.
Mostly I didn't love the idea of wrapping the rear tube bumper with a strap instead of using a hitch as a tow point.
The rear spare tire used to sit lower between the crossmember and the rear bumper hoop, so I cut the 1.5" tube support to the rear spare tire mount and sleeved it with 1.75" dom so I could space it up two or three inches.
See these tiny aluminum spacer pucks above the steering column mount? Mint.
Whoever figured out these are what you need to make the tilt column work better is smart.
And also so Nerdy into RBVs -that is all.
Now my column is tight with zero play. Old Ford problems.
