Grease Zerk threads

I need to drill and tap some home-made bushings for grease zerks. Does anyone know what tap is used for cutting the correct threads ?

Thanks, They looked like a tapered pipe thread so I thought they might be someting that I didn't have a tap for. I have 1/4-28 so I'll use that.

I know there are a few different threads, and I don't have small taps, so I've always just drilled the hole a bit small, and threaded them in. As long as you don't have the worlds cheapest zerks (shotty metal) they seem to cut themselves in just fine.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
There is an 1/8 in pipe thread zert. I can't remember what thread pitch they are right off, but either of the two threads work just fine.

There are all kinds of threads. The easiest for you to do is 1/4-28. you can pick up the zirks for that thread at fastenall.
