I need some info about H1 duel beadlocks.
I have heard they may rub on my steering arm of my new 60/14 combo because of the 7" backspacing. Is this true, and if so what is the best remedy? I have thought about recentering them, but can you do that with the 12 bolt version, which is what I'm getting? Has anybody on here recentered them, and how difficult is it?
Can I do something to the steering arms so they clear without weakening them too much? Or would it be better to go hi-steer (something I'd like to do eventually, but don't have the money for now), who make a good Chevy 60 hi-steer kit and what's a reasonable price.
Also how tough are these wheels, I found a place which sells rebar reinforcing rings for $7 each. Are they really needed? Also, are the military magnesium beadlock inserts good to use, or are aftermarket better (for $45 each)?
Anything else I need to know?
Thanks.
