For those that weren't aware, RME was born a few days before Christmas in 2000. 6 yrs later we've accomplished a lot, been involved with many incredible trips & even better made hundreds, if not thousands, of friends. With our member list over 5000 and our 6th year over, I just wanted to say thanks to you all for the support. We couldn't be where we are with out all you guys & gals. :hickey:

I hope there's many more excellent trips, land use activities, various adventures & more new faces to meet within the next 6 yrs. I'm looking forward to it! Happy B-Day RME!

This is where I spend most of my time on the web and get the most reliable
and friendliest information:)
I just wish I would have found it sooner.

Long live the RockyMountainExtremists! I imagine most if not all of them are still here....got any way of checking that? Does the Way Back Machine go back that far?

Once upon a time, this knucklehead named Greg showed up on the PBB peddling some spam about a cult he created. Sorta a group of antisocial mountain-dwelling survivalists, and they had a forum. Greg somehow avoided being flamed out of existence for pimping another forum........

Someone mentioned fairly early on the potential negative tone the word "extremists" could have, so it was changed to the current. Herzog found his way here somehow, and the look and feel changed drastically. (I'm not sure if that coincided with the software change or if it came later)

When the software and URL changed, all the OG's had to re-register.

I was there fairly early, I know Supergper and Rockmonkey were also....

I actually ran into greg down in Moab when he told me that he was starting a board...I can't remember when that was but I joined shortly thereafter...I like to think of myself as the beta test internet troll...I helped form policy through my bad example and now I have been usurped in my ripe old age of 28 by _meat and badger...keep the torch alive ya farkin dicks!
