How does your A pillars get to the floor? Many of them pass the sides of the dash and make the glove box unusable. If I could do mine again I would move the glove box towards the center more and/or make it smaller so there was never a conflict.\
As for guage location I also like the two larger guages on the top row (exhibit 3) where they are easier to see.
With me having the glove box cut in, I was going to make sure that it does clear the cage. I'm also going to have the whole dash angled up a little. I'm struggling with having the gauges angled towards the driver. I am going to have the gauges on a tipout hinge to make the wiring/troubleshooting easier when it's installed.
I kind of like the idea of the pull handle e-brake in the dash. Kind of fits the "Willys" theme a little.
CB and/or 2 meter will be in the Tuffy overhead console along with a dope (er, dome) light.
I'll also be building a low profile center console that will incorporate a radio, some lockable storage and kind of "flow" with the angled dash. The center console I have now is GIGANTIC tall and is just in the way more than it's worth with my kids climbing over it and such. I may pillage parts off of that to make the console look a little more finished? We'll see how it goes. I've also thought of having both pieces powder coated or Rhino-Lined to be able to do a little body work on them. Make things perty.
