Good news. There is way too much dry wood out there.

No kidding, I took my dirt bike out in the uintahs around Flaming Gorge, I once I got up a little higher the dead trees were so thick in the woods that you would have a serious time just trying to climb over them all. All that dead, dry wood is just asking for a serious fire but noooo, it would be terrible to allow people to drive on the roads to access all that wood. Instead we're just going to wait for it to catch on fire.

Just an interesting side note:

Last year a logging company came to Sundance and removed downed and dead wood. Sundance was paid for this wood. Kind of ironic for an environmentalist organization. The interesting part is it has lowered the fire danger and promoted new growth. The logging company actually used helicopters to remove the large trees so that no new roads were built.

Go Bush... I think it is an excellent plan...

Now on the otherhand... Kerry just announced his new CCC stlye plan.. using the 100 million that is subsidized to the timber insustry to "rejuvinate" the forests... bad idea... Hope Bush sticks around!

I do have my own opinions on Bush on a lot of things. But one thing I will not disagree is he has been one of the key people in the fight against land nazis. There is nothing better than an outdoorsman and land use advocate who also happens to be the President of the US.

Yeah thats just what this country needs!

I am all for public access and I am in no what way supporting Kerry, but I would like to have a future, and at the rate that Bush is going, that doesn't look so good.

All right, I have my fire suit on so go ahead and flame me!

where is the flipoff smilie when you need him?

you're always quick to put Bush down but you have yet to give a valid reason...

I agree he may not be perfect in all areas but of anyone that has even shown any interest in President this past year I think he is the most qualified...

Hmmm,,, invalid war with Iraq,,,,,,,, huge spending increases, while cutting taxes for an insurmountable national debt,,,,,, flakey presidential staff,,,,,, more vacation time than any president ever,,,,,,

yeah no valid reasons.

lets move this into chit chat

Wow, some hard feelings about the president, eh? In my opinion, the dude gets stuff done. Compared to past presidents (Don't even have to touch Clinton as a comparison, ) Bush is a welcomed change & I'd like to see him in office for another 4 years.

Wow, he had some of the same problems I did growing up.

Hmmm, a regular guy who most of us (except the perfect people) can relate to is president? Imagine that!!

All I can say about this President is wow!!! I support our troops, our Government, the Unions, my family, my wifes family does as well.. I see people struggling everywhere now days and the economy isn't getting any better.. You people that support Bush, that's O.K. in my oppinion, but not everyone sees it the same way as you.. That does not make any of us bad people for seeing things in different perspectives.. We all have our reasons I guess? Mine happens to be for the blue collar workers, that's it.. The way I look at is, how can we fourwheel, build our rides, support shops, pay for the GAS, And pay for the basic way of life, food, shelter,etc.. If everyone is out of work or worried about being out of work? The other thing I'm now worried about is, how is economy going to be for our children? Should they have to worry about if their job will be shipped overseas? I better stop their... Like I say we all have our reasons, I'm not saying everthing that Bush has done is wrong or bad.. He just doesn't fall into the category I see fit for us not so wealthy people or as others will say it "perfect people" Kerry may not be the answer "like he's any better, the democrats outdid themselves on that beauty..." But maybe he will help keep the jobs in the U.S.A.? and help the middleclass people for once? For those that support Bush name just one thing he has done for American middleclass workers? And I will reconsider my outlook on this situation...
