help me brainstorm what to get for my next vehicle

Well, I finally drove a vehicle I love. A 2012 tacoma. 30k miles. WAY out of my price range, but that's the ideal vehicle for me. I can't bring myself to get a loan for a car that expensive but I wish I could swing it.

I'm torn now. Part of me is ready to buy a rig with under 40k. I don't want a 120k tacoma that some high school kid used to jump the ditches in. I may have to bite the bullet and get a loan.

you're gonna turn into cascadia, you'll go through rigs just as fast, just have a loan and won't be able to mod it without messing up the warranty. NO offense cascadia:)

Sticker price was $32k with bald tires. At least it came with a 100k mile warranty.

Still blown away by Toyota prices. My ram was less than that out the door in 2012, brand new and it's got one of them fancy hemi things. I know you guys love Toyotas but man...

Dude step over to the dark side. Get a Disco 2 or LR3. you won't be bored ever again with the same old toyota build. just do it.

Come up to Layton and I'll give you a ride in an LR3 and Disco 2 off- road. Hell i'll even let you try them out. Even in stock form they will out do many modified vehicles.

I even have a 1994 Range Rover Classic that I need to get rid of. Between my buddy and I we have 5 Land Rovers.

I'll put my stock 98 Montero against a stock 98 Discovery anytime, just saying.

you should buy and build my disco

if you bought a $1000 land rover dropped 10k into it you'd have a brand new vehicle that was a mean machine and 1/4 the cost of a new toyota :)

I don't know what I'll do, but for right now I like the idea of saving up for a newish tacoma and paying cash for it. It's going to take a while though.

No offense taken. Although I don't have any loans on my 2013 tundra, our other 2 vehicles, or 8 other register able things. Not sure where that came from. I mod what I want to but I don't see the need on a tow rig trying to get less than decent mpg's.

Yeah, they're spendy for sure. Fortunately, you get most of that money back when it's time to sell. I don't know of another vehicle that holds its value like a 4 door tacoma. I figure they depreciate about $0.10 to $0.15 per mile. They had a beat up one there with 66k for $27,000.

With how well the tacomas sell, you'd think the other car companies would catch on and offer a decent midsized pickuo. The frontiers and kColorados are the only competition to the tacoma.
