I am slightly angry and camper world, so I thought I would share my letter to them..
Not that any of you should actually care..
I would like to share with you my sad story of disappointment. I needed a toilet valve (Part #13168) and searched on line for it. I can have it mailed to my door for prices between $22-28 all day long. I like to shop local first, and called state trailer supply who has it for about $25. I live just across the freeway from your Draper, Utah store and thought I would check it out. The price on your website was about $25 also, I called to make sure it was in stock.. 4 phone calls and 2 voice messages later I was still unable to reach a parts person. I drove over, found the part and went to pay. The part was $30! imagine my surprise. I explained that your website has it for $25, and the nice lady told me I would have to be a member for that price.. I asked if she could price match another local business. She said she could, if I was a member. Needless to say I did not buy the part.
Member ships are not a bad way of getting discounts. But why should I have to PAY a extra fee to receive a FAIR price on a part? This makes no sense. If I were to get a discount from an already average price, that would be swell. But it is not the case. I am sorry to say that your company has lost a customer. I spend a lot of money each year on camping supplies, and am associated with many others who spend a lot of money each year. I would implore you to change your policy of inflated prices to those who are not 'members' of your company.
