That's funny. I ran RS with the Utah Xterra owners club a while back and they couldn't stop bitching about how the "extreme buggies" always tear up the trail and try to make it as difficult as possible by moving large rocks into the trail. I told them no one who's "extreme" would waist they're time trying to make that trail any harder!

IMO, the trail has gotten easier rather than harder?

I was in wendover last weekend and thought the same thing... Im thinking there has to be some good spots out there.... I was also thinking maybe a good spot to start looking for a new UROC location.... Lots of hotels and gambling besides rockcrawling..... The dell area also lookd like some major potential....
I want in on some new trail finding...

Here is a link. There are some really funny comments on the pics of RS where the tree used to be in the middle.

What the HELL is this????

Ok finally got the ^%$%#@ pic inserted. Now we know who tore the tree down. OK, I read the caption, Im sure it was already dead. It bugs me that it was abused to the point of death.....it wasn't necessary to be removed, it wasn't in the way.

Oh goodie, another RS thread!!

I am going to say that this trail is harder than the first time that I ran it, I took my open diffed 31" BFG'ed YJ through it no real problems.
But last time I ran it I managed to get my Rover pretty well high centered.

At Little Moab there were several trees that used to be there that are now gone, thanks to idiots and morons. I realize that there are like a zillion cedar/juniper trees out there, but that's no excuse to be plowing down trees that aren't in the way. That tree in RS was like an obstacle in and of itself.

I agree Pokey. It is clearly more difficult than it once was. Even after the initial rockfall episode, it is more difficult. I think we shoulda made that sign say 4 instead of 3.5 :)

Brett and I drove the 'ridge' to the south of RS and Sunshine on Saturday. On the maps it states the route as a 'jeep trail' but when we got on it it was more of a wide ATV route. It has some fun steeps but was mostly a lot of winding in and out of trees (pretty tight for anyone with nice paint....I'll put it that way.) We ended up at a pass between Clay Canyon on the south and the switchbacks above Sunshine (where you come down from Con) on the north. I think you could consider it about a 3. Maybe 2.5......dunno, it's hard for me to judge easy trails anymore considering what I drive. If it got some more traffic on it I bet it would get harder..... :)

It wasn't really in the way...unless you have drive an Xterra! :D  It was dead and already knocked down when we got there. They were upset that someone rolled onto it and knocked it over by trying a different line than them. I tried to get them to try another line around it, but they didn't like the idea of running a new line.
