Rare, but not super uncommon. They actually had a LJ80 rally in Moab earlier this year. I think there were a half-dozen or so that showed up :D

Been really trying to talk a certain Susuki nut RME'er into buying that so he can bring it to the RelicRun, he is being a panty-waste about it. Last I heard the Mrs. wasn't too on board with the purchase :D

More info here:

41 HP :D

As sad as that is... it would be sadder to bastardize it. Go sit in it before you decide you want make wheeler, they are about as roomy as a Power-Wheels.

I'm pretty sure the seller has some connection to RME or at least the 4x4 community. I'm pretty sure it was that same LJ80 that came to one of the U4 Summer Conventions in Richfield 3-4 years ago. As I recall it was in the back of a truck?

Agreed. I'd love to have it instead of it getting chopped up.

ooooh it wouldn't get to chopped, just suspension and axles, brakes, box the frame, tie in a roll cage, but try to keep it close to what it is as possible..

Cool deal.

This is quoted from lj10..

1972 Suzuki introduced the LJ20 it had a water-cooled engine with 28 horsepower @ 5500 rpm
