We're just happy to be out from under it, we pocketed some money and don't have to make 2 mortgages, deal with renters or a HOA any more... so I'm happy.

Congrats Greg. Pretty stressful stuff.
We didn't even put our last home up for sale until we had our new one closed upon. Luckily our previous house was paid for which yielded us that benefit. Once we put it up for sale I wanted it gone and gone fast. Ended up taking just over 4 weeks to sell from the time we listed it but I was getting tired of maintaining two properties even in only that 4 weeks and still only one mortgage. We had friends that kept telling us to keep the old house and rent it out as passive income. I don't have the temperament to be a landlord though.
Hope to NEVER have to sell or buy another property as long as I live. I'm NOT a real estate person, I'm a mechanic and should focus on what I know.lol
