How many of you out there are going to get a dirt bike in the near future?

That's good to know about the XC. There's a guy with a real clean XC on KSL that I was tempted with, but I was afraid of the close-ratio gear box.

If I end up with a KTM, it will be the XC-W or EXC I think, but the EXC is now no longer a 2T in the US, all 4T. I may consider on of their XCF-W too. I also want to stay 2007ish and newer on any bike I look at.

Steve, those 200's are pretty cool. They didn't make them for very long so they don't pop up very often.

Here are a few (cheap older bikes) I've had an eye on. They could make a great DS for a decent price.

For a ligher guy:

For a bigger guy :D

And of course a few 2T's

I'm thinking a low ball offer would take the RMX

I've owned motorcycles long before I ever had a 4x4, adding a sub-forum was a great idea as these sports go hand in hand. ;)

I have owned a few bikes myself. Loads of fun!
And think the forum was a grate idea also.
Just think it's funny how out of the blue everyone wants one. Lol

that's a clean little WR. How did those compare to the yamaha WR's of similar vintage? Is it tough to find parts for those older huskies?

I'd like to know. I do know everything built after the company moved in ~87 is usually pretty easy to get parts for. Not a lot of aftermarket parts are available but OEM shouldn't be a problem. I have several Dirt Rider magazine 250cc enduro/cross country shootouts from back in the day and the Husky is always rated least favorite right above the ATK's. I'm betting they are not that bad... One thing I've never heard in the same sentence is Husqvarna and Unreliable :)

Actually, anything pre-2005ish is a major PITA to get parts for. Getting parts for my 2003 was a pain and usually involved LONG waits and often getting incorrect parts. Huskies are nice bikes, but if I ever bought another, it would be 2006 or newer.
