Well my son's comanche started making a bad grinding/scraping sound when we would go through gutters or other bumps at high speed. It sounded like tires rubbing on the fenders but I couldn't find any spot that showed rubbing. So I started looking at other areas that could make nasty noises. I found that the front driveline yoke was hitting the exhaust downpipe and that the fan was hitting the air shroud. I wondered how they could be hitting since there is plenty of clearance. What I found was that the motor mount rubber which looks good on the surface has seperated from the round steel center bushing that the main bolt goes through. This is allowing the motor to slide forward when going through a bump causing things to grind into each other. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow night after work.....
