If not 37" MTRs, then what else?

I have been running 37" MTRs for about 7 years and I love them. The problem is, I blew out a side wall and can't find a replacement (new ones are on indefinite backorder, it seems the military is getting them all). And I've had no luck finding a decent used one either. So I'm thinking I may just need to get something different, but what?

I'm running 44s front and rear, so weight is a concern (I don't want to hear that I shouldn't run 37s on 44, I've only broken I u-joint, and it was at least 6 years old). Also, I have beadlocks so there's extra weight already, and they're 15" so tires would have to match. I've been thinking maybe some Swampers, like Iroks or TrXus.

From the Swamper web site it it lists 36x13.50 Iroks at 66lbs with an OD of 36.8", but there 37x14 are 69lbs and 36.5". Both are 4-ply sidewall (http://www.intercotire.com/site25.php)

TrXus 37x12.50 are 72lbs, OD 37.2", but only 2-ply sidewall. (http://www.intercotire.com/site35.php)

For comparison,
TSL radials 38x15.50 are 90lbs, OD 37.1", 2-ply
SX 38x12.50 are 84lbs, OD 37.4", 4-ply
SSR 37x12.50 are 78lbs, OD 36.8, 2-ply

Krawlers aren't available in 37" for a 15" rim. Creepy Crawlers are way to pricey for me ($375ish each)

So, any suggestion?

I've liked my iroks better than my mtrs. Better sidewalls, less wheel hop, and I made a couple of obstacles I wasn't able to do with my mtrs. Maybe I'm a better driver, maybe not. I also liked regular my old tsls better as well.

oh and I think 37s are fine on a built dana 44 as long as its not on a heavy rig.
Don't forget to measure your mtrs. My 35s measure just over 33 inches with ~40% tread.

I have been really happy with my Iroks, Dave. And if you watch the sales you can get them at a pretty decent price.

i loved my 36" iroks....and my new rig has the 37's and i am running a dana 44 but my rig ways just about 2000lbs so i hope that will make a difference......just my 2cents

Man Dave those MTRs have lasted a good while and some hard trails through the years...what trail where you running? It must have been a bit** of a trail. You dont have to tell everyone you can PM meif you want to.

Yep, these are still Charlie Copsey's old comp tires. My hi-steer arm broke, allowing my tire to swing all the way in and hitting my hydro assist skid plate; that's what finally did the tire in !! Stupid way to lose a tire if you ask me.

Charlie did A LOT of work for me between 99-02, I had him build my CJ based off his old yellow one, TJ frame and all, I'm still running his old 44 front end.

I saw James K's ad, but the SX are at least 15lbs more each than the Iroks.

Exactly and that could be the big weight difference, too. I want to say my 37's were something like 35.6" new? That was a long time ago, and several sets of tires, so I could be mistaken.
