So, just found out this week that my company is consolidating 20 offices across the US into 6. The office I work at is one being cut. I don't really have the desire to move to Denver or Phoenix (two of the offices staying open), so I'm on the lookout for a new job.

I've got my Bachelors of Science in Business with some marketing experience. I'm looking for a Marketing/Business Development position in the Salt Lake area. If your company is hiring or if you know of any positions, please let me know.

Thanks, much appreciated. There isn't any for sure date yet, the first office (Las Vegas) closes in January, and the rest will be by August. I should find out in about 1 week how much longer I'll be around....

Hey everyone.

Were going to be doing some major hiring at my work the next 2 months for full and part time. Both in sales and customer service. If you apply put my name down (Brandon Meadows) and pm me and I can put in a good word or watch out for you (I'm a Manager there)

This is at the Musicians Friend call center. (Were looking for over 200 people to gear up for the holidays)
So tell anyone looking for work. Starting pay is $10.50/hr and you'll make quite a bit more than that if you can sell. (I've seen people make over $1,500/check after taxes because they could sell.)

The utah location is in draper. Shifts are as early as 5am and we close at Midnight.

You can apply at http://www.musiciansfriend.com/mf/employment.jsp

Location addy is in the link above if you would like to apply in person.

*****Music interest is recommended but expierence is not required*****

Any questions feel free to let me know and again put me down as the reference.

Too cool Kurt! I would have been all over this if I was in school in SLC!

The place I work is hiring as well. Check out this link for more info: http://www.emcsolutions.com/careers.html.

Biggest need is a software developer right now.

Also it's not listed but my team could use a part-time marketing/advertising graphic design guru.

The Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority (UHEAA) is looking to hire 15 new call center representatives. Job description as follows:
________________________________

Motivated and dependable people are needed to work in UHEAA’s loan servicing organization. UHEAA administers the student loan program for the State of Utah. We are an established organization offering stability and an opportunity to serve and grow. UHEAA is currently seeking applicants for full-time work.

Entry-level positions include responsibilities for counseling borrowers via inbound and outbound phone calls, performing account updates, skip tracing, loan processing, and collection activities. Although experience with any of these tasks is preferred, none is required.

Friendly, knowledgeable service to our student borrowers is our goal; successful applicants are service-oriented, dependable and focused on continual learning. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Applicants must have basic computer skills and typing speed minimum of 25 wpm; 10-key is helpful, but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

UHEAA offers a competitive salary starting at $12.00 per hour and a job-related tuition reimbursement benefit of $1,250 per calendar year. Shifts vary during business hours (Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 9:00pm; Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm; Saturdays 8:00am – 12:00 pm).
________________________________

This isn't your standard call center. We are very small, currently only a staff of 30, and you're primary job is to provide information and counsel borrowers. You're not selling and you're not doing heavy handed collections (though you do have to ask for loan payments). UHEAA has been a great place to work with lots of upward mobility. I started in the call center about a year and a half ago and moved into a supervisory position in six months. Additionally, the benefits are amazing. Full medical, dental and vision all through the University of Utah. For my wife and I we only pay $40/month for insurance! Plus the tuition reimbursement and retirement plan through the Utah Retirement System.

To apply, visit the “Jobs” section at UHEAA.org (at the bottom of the page). Select the position "Customer Service Call Center Representative I" and click “Search” to view a copy of the posting. Click the "Apply" button at the top of the page. You will be required to upload a resume and cover letter as well as fill out an electronic application.
