ok the Dana 60 I picked up didint have calipers on it when I got it. There a duel piston setup. The caliper splits in half because apparently the piston side only weres out which is true. I've bought the complete caliper but I can't figure out how it mounts. It seems as if I'm missing something that bolts the bracket on. Anyone know what the he!! I'm talking about :) or have some pix or no were to pic the part I'm missing up???

Yes I do

therere should be a pin that you have to pound out. I believe they are on the bottom it has a little tab on it they are flat. If that does'nt help post up and I'll give you my digits and go out and look.

damn sorry dude forgot it didn't have the calipers on it.

are you talking about the slides that hold the caliper to the bracket itself.on the bottom of the caliper there is spot that gets all narrow and square.on the bracket there is a spot that looks the same.there is a slide shaped like an "H" with a spring plate on one side this goes between the two holding the caliper in place.then a bolt passes through that into the hole on the bracket, this keeps the slide in place.

go to a junk yard and yank two

I have a 79 HPD60 front sitting on a pallet ready to be rebuilt w/calipers if you want me to take pictures, etc of how it's setup. I could possibly even take several in different stages of assembly if you really want me too....:ugh: That's if I can get it apart, it was found laying in a swamp (looks like it anyway) in Alaska. Customer got it for $500 shipped to my door; so no matter what happens, it was a good find!

I've got the 2 piece caliper, the bracket bolts to the knuckle the the caliper bolts to the bracket (dual piston) I just need to see how the bracket mounts to the knuckle. I'm missing parts so I'm just trying to see what I am missing

Ok.. I'll take some pics with the thing together and then you tell me how far to get into it. Just keep in mind it's outside and I'm in the Pacific Northwet on one of the average of days ;)

you keep losing me with this two piece caliper crap.the caliper should be one piece.it can be separated but it should have come together even new.
