A while ago Mark the owner from ORI asked if we wanted to try thier Level it System. They have been a Sponsor sunce the beginning of the buggy build. I asked what it was about and said we were interested. They volunteered to come and help is set them up. We just wanted to figure out a time to make it work. That time ended up being this last Monday. Mark from ORI and his son Kirk from Jensen Brothers came down.
I wanted to do a before and after test to see the differences. I decided to run Arrowhead and the first 2 obstacles of Chain reaction with Mark in the passenger seat.
First take away is the Level It's are like adding a reservoir so it made the chop much easier to handle and absorbs it up.
Second take away is they soften the high side letting it stuff easier. It is also when you lean the car more than 4 degrees it locks the level it mechanically and slows the compression of the down hill side. I did notice the High side being softened. Not sure I noticed the low side effects or not. On one particular obstacle It is a tricky steep off camber climb and it took me several attempts to get it without them. 1st attempt with them. I didn't want to keep them if they negatively affected the buggy but I am going to say they are a keeper.
It was also nice to host Mark and Kirk and visit with them. I have meet each of them once before not for very long. They are great people and smart engineers. Bonus for thoer visit is I had a leaky ORI on the YJ that they also fixed for me while they were her.
