You can buy humate in pellet or liquid at IFA. There isn't a quick fix though after you have lawn already in and you aren't interested in ripping it all out, adding topsoil, and starting fresh.

I'm sure it's been covered here somewhere in the thread, but I'm to lazy to read through all 14 pages.

I'm fortunate because my new house has a great lawn already, but I was warned by the previous owners that purple clover was starting to creep in and had destroyed a few spots in the front yard last summer. As I'm planning on xeriscaping the front yard this fall/next spring I'm not super concerned with repairing the dead spots, but I really, really want to keep this crap out of my immaculate back yard. Does anyone have any tips?

I successfully transplanted a tree. It was in the park strip where our new driveway approach will be. I’ve been very diligent about keeping it wet. It seemed to die off for about a week or so, and then started showing signs of life again. We are a little more than a month in and it seems to be thriving now.

I love how Davis county was on 1 water per week and just last week we got permission to do 2 waters per week for 15 minutes each.
My lawn will never recover. Enjoy it down-stream. LOL
My lawn is almost completely returned to dirt. I still mow it every few weeks to keep it looking trimmed. It's depressing.

You guys actually follow the .gov water restrictions?

I cut back over what we have done in the past but.... I live in an area where we were required to put so much grass in and Ill be damned if I let it die on orders from the same people that required I install it.

I'm letting mine die so I can xeriscape next spring.

I would think if the alleged drought is really this serious they should turn off secondary water anyways… right? Making people actually pay full price for their water is probably a good way to make them take it seriously. I’m not saying I agree with that but I also don’t have secondary water anyways so I don’t have a dog in that fight
