I am tried of my ebrake not working or not being able to get my foot on it from the full cage. How do you guys, with line locks like them?
How well do they maintain pressure? I put a Art Carr shifter in mine and now I can see my little ones playing with it and rolling away.

Thanks

But stuck more often.
If it's street legal, you need to fix the ebrake (I would fix and use it anyways). Modify the pedal so it will clear your cage by either rotating it a bit or by adding something to the pedal that you can reach with your foot, ie weld a section to your pedal so it wider.

Several years back I was working a wildland fire up on top of a bluff. The crew had a one ton with line lock setup. It released and the truck took off down the hill jumped a small drainage the frame bent to the ground behind the cab. Amazing it stayed upright. Not sure why the wheel chocks were not in place.

I would go with a genuine e-brake.

Line locks will pass inspection (atleast we have passed them, because they hold the vehicle) my dad uses his on his cj7 all the time. They work good.

You can have a failure like that with a genuine e brake also. A couple years ago, me and my buddy went out and ran rattlesnake. We got to a spot where we needed to pull off for ppl coming back down through the trail. He pulled his sidekick up the hill, and put the e brake on. I pulled off also, a bit ahead of him, we got out to watch the other group come down while he let his cousin and gf (I think) stay in the kick. Well after about 10 mins, we heard a pop, we turned to look at my buddies kick come flying down the hill, and wedged itself in some rocks. Everyone was ok, but he learned to park it in gear, and the e brake on.

Just like anything, it can fail. If you dont have any leaks, or electrical issues line locks are great.

They do also have manual line locks. The electric ones are great for remote mounting.

Again, a line lock will NOT pass safety inspection. E brakes must be a separate system from the hydraulic brake system.

This being said, you can add a line lock and keep the e brake and be legal. I wouldn't recomend it, becasue every line lock I've ever had tends to bleed off pressure after time.
