Got into it today and measured it, it was about 5 thousands over the desired gap. So hopefully my new thrust washers will suck that up. A couple of the holes are a little galled on the outer edge, nothing that I think will effect performance. I will just buff them a little. The downside is that my pry bar had a mishap slip with the carrier bearing, so tommorrow I need to have somebody press some new ones. The center pin did have some marks on it it didn't have before-_-

The wear mark on the pin is probably fine. After a while the pin will start to waller out the holes in the much softer cast iron carrier. As soon as any play develops, it escalates quickly.

I wouldn't waste your time and money on new bearings unless the damage to the bearing is a lot worse than it looks in the pic... As long as the bearing still spins freely, or if you can make it spin freely (bend the cage back) I see no reason not to just run it... That damage certainly doesn't look bad enough to replace it. Plus, once the bearing is installed in the race, the cage doesn't really do much anyways.

Agreed. Plus the locker will again fail long before you'll ever have to replace that bearing:greg:

All back together now. So far so good. Plus no leaks with my new lube locker gasket from summit machine
