My brother-in-law and I want to paint my xj, but we are having trouble finding a booth to do it in! We are going to do all of the work ourselves, but my brother-in-law sold his shop so we don't have anyplace to spray. I'm in Bountiful...any ideas?

I used one in South Salt Lake. They charge $100.00 for 24 hours. The company that owns it is called Way To Go. Their number is 975-7500. Ask for Len or Ron.

I'd call. Everybody is totally independant and they may have equipment you could borrow or rent..........If you are in a jam, I have a gravity feed spray gun that I could lend out.

I think that is a fair price for a good clean, set up place to paint in.

or you could go with some industrial urethane.

thats what i used on my jeep, it cost me about 300 for everything, that included 1 gal of primer with activator, 2 qts of primer sealer, a gallon of black and a gallon of the green with activators and reducer. I when to Mountain West Paint Distributors at 3265 S West Temple, they even had the exact shade of kawasaki green that i was looking for.

You're barely scratching the surface there (good English pun, eh?---maybe it's Canadian now with the 'eh'?).........what do you want to know.

If you want the paint job to last and look like OEM or show, I'd not even consider NOT using a base/clear system. They have their advantages and drawbacks.

If you need a quick and decent looking paint job that you won't break down into tears when you roll it over, a mid-priced automotive enamel is probably the way to go. looks fairly good for a few years and didn't cost the house payment.

If you don't care as much about looks.........bedliner, latex, rattle can, or whatever......{I've even seen other things}......each one of those has some advantages and with the exception of the bedliner the cost is pretty insignificant. I personally HATE spraying with a rattle can. I can't do a 'nice' job, but I've seen some pretty decent rattle can jobs.
