Ok for an update/Plan change.
After weighing my options, I decided that instead of redo'ing all my work next year to fit a V8 next year that I am going to do the V8 now. SO I spent the weekend pulling my engine out.

Yup. Yeah im sure ill like it, i have a friend here that works at GM racing and is getting me some part numbers for cams and valve springs and other parts so i will make it a nice running engine.. I also used your build alot for idea.. Very nicely done. Also do you happen to have any pics of your exhaust set up from the headers back cause im worried that my front 4 link is going to cause some issues so im debating on switching it around. Thanks

I don't really have any pics handy... the exhaust on mine was a massive headache. I had to run 2 different style headers and go to a 3 link in the front to make everything work. It's been together for awhile now, but I just swapped on the Camaro oil pan and have to re-do the exhaust around the motor. I'm going to try doing it myself, but it's not looking fun.

I'll see if I can get some pics for you. And I would highly recommend the Camaro oil pan swap, before you get the motor in. It's about $300 for the parts and you gain over 3" of clearance on the bottom of the pan. My TJ is pretty low, so it might not be a problem for you, but the bottom of my oil pan was the same height as the center of my front axle. Rocks were scraping my oil pan constantly. :ugh:

Here's the info for the Camaro oil pan from www.gmpartsdirect.com

Thats a nice site.. I was going to do a summit kit but that looks good too..

My jeep sits about 78" to the top of the window frame and the axle is about 3" from my rad so it sits low for what i think.. Ill look into swapping pans. Thanks for the parts list.

Here's the best I can do right now, I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to run it with the new oil pan.

You can see the header collector at the top of the picture. My issue is that the new oil pan has a longer sump front to back by a couple inches. My exhaust ran around the front of the sump before, but now it the sump is even further forward and the exhaust may possibly contact the driveshaft under compression. Im going to see which has more room, running the exhaust how it was, around the front of the sump, or under the area where the engine & transmission bolt together. Either way, it's a tight fit.

that is the way the polyperformance brackets are.. But it hasnt limited the travel because at ride height the upper arm is actually a little angle upwards. so at full droop theres plenty more. Also i have 7075 upper links that i am installing because i dont like these ballistic joints where they have the snap rings. so there will be a 1" high mis-alim heim there as well
