I grew up in Missoula and still have quite a bit of family up there. We find ourselves up there fairly regularly for weddings and funerals.

It really is an amazing place. Within 20 minutes you can be in complete solitude, a stark contrast to the Wasatch Front. There really is nothing better than huckleberry hunting in the mission mountains in August. I don't know much about motorized recreation, but I know a lot of the land belongs to local tribes, who keep pretty tight restrictions on it's use. We frequently had to get permits to go places, and even at that only in certain times of the year.

Flathead lake is 2 hours away, and is a great place for recreation. Seeley lake is about an hour, but much more secluded.

I remember going through the Flathead/Hungry Horse/Glacier NP/Banff area as a kid. Super awesome, especially Hungry Horse.

Congrats on the advancement, reckon you wouldn't be going if it wasn't worth it. That country is just too dang cold for too dang long every year for my old bones! Then again, so is Davis county .
