Miller spectrum 625 not working

So, last night I was cutting out some 1/2 inch lifting tabs and after finishing one I went to start on the next one and only air came out. I looked at the machine and the cup light was flashing so I changed the consumables and tried again. Again, nothing but air. Switched 'em out a few more times and still nothing. Checked the air, bone dry. What could it be? The second I pull the trigger the cup light starts flashing and doesn't stop flashing till I cycle the power. I am handy with a meter so if someone knows the testing procedures for the board I would be happy to hear them. (assuming it isn't something more simple) Thanks for the help. Being without the plasma sucks!:mad::(

Call Bill @ ARC Services, they rebuild all of our welders and Plasma's He could probably tell you. Lots cheaper then Praxair and Airgas, turned out the welders we were sending to Airgas were ending up with him anyway:rolleyes:

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Do you not have the manual? Mine tells me what all the different flashing lights mean.

Bill @ Arc Services is an awesome guy, I recommend him as well.
Only thing I can suggest is to make sure that you didn't tighten the retaining cup too tight. Also make sure you aren't mixing the consumables (extended tip with standard electrode) and they aren't in backwards or anything.

If that doesn't work call 1-800-4A-MILLER and ask for the service department, the guys there are awesome and can walk you through troubleshooting to find out exactly what the problem is.

PS - If you don't have your original manual, try this link - http://www.millerwelds.com/service/ownersmanuals.php

I took mine to Arc services. Something was fried in it (thermister or something, I think). They fixed it under warranty.

Thanks for all the help guys! I do have the original manual and I looked up the ones online to make sure they didn't have any additional information. (they didn't :( ) The only thing it says about that light flashing is to replace the consumables. 40_below, that is good to know and I will check the serial# tonight. I am not the original owner and wasn't sure if it would be covered or not. I will also try the phone#. Do you know if it is a M-F 8-5 kinda thing or if they are open on sat/evenings? Also, are the newer serial#'s bigger than LF07XXXX? Thanks again!

Is the receipt in the manual?
PRAXAIR DIST US UT Date 12/15/07
It was on my debit card, I might be able to get a copy of the receipt if you need it.

Yeah, Miller service is open Monday-Friday 8-5. I would definitely give them a call though! The higher number serial the newer it is. They will honor the warranty whether you are the original buyer or not. Miller's warranty is 3 years. Here is a link to the Serial number reference chart, you can tell exactly how old your machine is
