i am not affended with anyones expeirences that they want to share. i am mad at all of the digs at character. if you feel that it was your shallow friends and are no longer in good with them ok, just dont make a general statement implying that we are all shallow. personally if one of my friends was making good money and wanted to share how i would listen, knowing that it was up to me. again just my opinion.

Seems your taking "my shallow freinds" comment in your cross hairs, I'll respond as such. I started with "I've lost good friends" and then referred to all my additional comments with "they". Not sure how I need to clear that up any further. Its my personal experience with those I've dealt with. You read it as if I was talking about you or all MLM'ers, it was not.

These clowns tried to hire my son.

Until he called me and told me about his Great new job. I asked if he had researched the company ( Primerica ) He did not. He was not to happy, after I googled them and gave my input. Funny thing about two days later they hit me up. They weren't to happy once I told them that I had already seen the million plus negative hits on google. Would have nothing to do with any of them.

kurt if that was how it was meant than i am sorry for putting it out there like that. i believe it is kurt (hopefully)

As far as Primerica is concerned i believe in what they do: life insurance, investments, retirement. i think that if you based all of your decisions off what other people say or their experiences than you probably are fine and will get what you need out of life, however for the ones that look for themselves and decide for themselves that either i can do that or no i dont want to do that based on themselves, not 1 million negative hits on google is a far better way to make a decision.;)

The whole point of this post was to ask people what they think about them.

Ya see, my problem with them lies in the fact that you have to pay money for a job to earn money. And in doing so end up upsetting/losing family/friends over the whole deal.

That just doesn't sound like a solid business principle to me.

I hope you didn't really take my opinions as an attack on you, it is just that, an opinion. Everybody is a grown up and can decide for themselves, if you(anybody) gets suckered it's their own fault, welcome to america. Oh but now I do want to know what it is you are selling.... just curious;)

if you are seriously curious than pm me and i will talk to you about it. if you just want to know so you can throw it out there and have people bash on it in the open then you will probably be waiting for awhile. i did not start this to bring what i am doing currently out in to the open, so i am not going to.

Here's my recent Primerica story:

Went to lunch, ran into an old friend's parents. (Good high school friend). They asked how I was, then immediately went into "We have something to show you!" MODE. They were already talking outloud and getting excited about how I could recruit the whole department that I work for. They would not let me sit down with my lunch, she immediatley opened up a day planner and scheduled in a day and time. I just figured I'll call them later and cancel since they wouldn't take a no in person. (I tried to tell them no several times.)
I lose their number the day I try to call them to say no thanks. I call my old friend (he recruited his parents,) and he gives me the same, "well I'd rather see it for myself than take someone else's word on it" routine. I told him we weren't interested and that I don't want things to be weird next time we run into each other. He says, "well I don't think it'll be weird." Then there was awkward silence on the phone until we both hung up.

Anyways, I'm REALLY looking forward to the awkwardness next time I see him or his parents. And if it works out for them awesome.

I was in a MLM when I was younger, worked hard at it, living in a small community it doesnt take long for everyone to know what your up to...I dont think that anyone who is in a MLM is trying to rip their freinds and family, they believe in this stuff and are trying to bring thier freinds and family along for the ride.. the problem is your converting your friend and family relationship into a buisiness transaction and they soon get weary of you. I got out when I realized people were avoiding me. there is no 'get rich quick' Its a long process and its hard..the same amount of work along with a little creativity can get you farther in a traditional buisiness scenerio.

So here is exactly what I was referring too. Friends that cross that sometimes fuzzy yet distinct line:

I just found out about this cool new service and wanted to pass it along. It is
called The Gymboxer. You can check it out at www.thegymboxer.com/index.php?id=ins90210.

You just plug a little box into your television just like a DVD player and you can
watch hundreds of hours of fitness classes all on-demand. Plus, they shoot new
classes every week so you never have to repeat a class unless you want to. They
have classes in Pilates, Yoga, step aerobics, treadmill, cycle, weights, kickboxing,
stretch and more.

Let me know what you think.

I didn't want to bash you so don't sweat it. The only heavy heavy recruitment mlm expirience I had was that prepaid legal bs. I never did it, but man one of my friends was just dying to get me to do it. Were no longer friends:rofl:
