Has any one had any luck with the Mile Marker electric winches? They are a great price but are they a P.O.S.? I have always used ramsey but on my other jeep I was wondering about going with the Mile marker.
Thanks

Haven't used it yet but I just bought the e9000 mostly because of price plus it came with 4wheel parts' extreme warrenty...They said if I break it they'll replace it for free for life :greg:

I would rather have no winch at all, than have any other winch than a Warn.

I know a couple guys running them. They are slow, but seem to work. I am thinking of building a rear winch bumper and sticking one of those cheapies in there.

Can't get a warranty on a winch if you are lying at the bottom of a canyon, wishing you would have got the Warn.

If you want something cheaper, I would look into the Magnums...they are made by Warn but sold under a different name. I still will run nothing other than a Warn ;)

The Pierce winches you see on tow trucks are damn cheap too....???

Can't say from the inside but outside the Ramsey and Harbor Freight are 100% identical. I got the Harbor Freight and man is it slow......but it works until I can get a Warn.

Yeah, we were talking about that this past Saturday. He said the only differences were the prices.

We found out that George's winch is good for fixing Xterra Nerf bars, hehe:

thanks for all the good info. Although other than being a little slow I have had great luck with ramseys. I have seen a lot of warn motors toast over the last 28 or so years. (Ouch I am old). I was considering the MM for my DD CJ8 it probably won't get used too often. I am sticking with the ramsey for my trail jeep.

My MM does what it is meant to do and that's all that matters to me. It pulls when I want it to pull. It is slow but it get's the job done.

As far as I know, the MM electric 8k and 9k winches are the same as the HF winches. But the MM electric 12k is made by Tmax. The 12k is a far better winch than the 8k or 9k, but all are built in China.

If you honestly will only need a winch on rare occasions, it's hard to argue with a low price.
