A few pics my g/f took on PS/golden spike/gold bar

First time I have gone through the crack and not lifted a tire. \/

I don't know if you can tell, but the top compression ring wore about 1/2" up and down on the side of the piston.

That piston look's pretty hammered,did it hurt the cylinder wall?
I'll bet doing a rebuild in the parking lot was alot of fun

Friday was the only comfortable weather day we had, every other day was SO cold.

Ya the piston was worked. The only piston that didn't have broken rings of some sort was #4 the other three had at least one of the compression rings broken.

Fortunately it didn't do anything to the cylinder wall. Go figure.
I rented out a hone from some guys shop down there and the guy screwed me over. It was a stone hone and the stones were fairly cracked. So he took half of my deposit and wouldn't give me the rest back. It sucked cause it was my word against his. Ohh well, it got the job done, and only cost me 20 bucks.

If I could remember it, I would tell you. Some guys last name is what it was called, moab 4x4 outpost recomended it to me! If you are heading north on 191, take the first right, the shop is on the left.

I don't know what I could have done to even cause cracks in the stones that were already there!

Rick B, I didn't try to make that a personal attack. A lot of people flame for for whatever I do, I have no intentions of going on anything that is not supposed to be done. Yes I did go on the bypass to rocker knocker, and I got flamed for that, but again, nothing is posted about going on the bypass. I will NEVER drive on somthing that I know is not supposed to be driven on, or is even questionable. Thats why we asked the ranger if we were allowed to go on hells gate and escalator. Hope you don't stay pissed at me, but whatever...

How did you roll right there badcop? I know it gets a bit tipsy, but WOW. Is that your jeep?

Pat was in steamboat springs till friday, he never came down. I was in the city market parking lot like I said almost every day. I must have missed you!

And yes it was west auto. I'm not impressed with the 10 minutes I spent talking to him, I guess it was joe west himself.

Unfortunatly Yes, took a bad line, slipped and tipped. All well, tube it now and wheel again next month....

On a lighter note, Id like to thank alot of people who came or offered to come to my aid. Derek for one, Jeremy, Hickey, Dan, Kenneth, Bud, Paul, and the new guy we met from CO, Chris, even though I was upside down ive never seen some ppl move so fast.
