Motorcycle camping setups?

Thanks for the thoughts Greg! For now I only have the tent bungeed, I no longer have e blue bed roll as I bought a new one that is 1/2 the size, However I will double strap the tent and look into the rokstraps.

Unstuck, Thanks! I have been very pleased with it, Honestly it was quite an upgrade from my last motorcycle and it does everything I want it to do, Hopefully this next week won't make me feel differently.
For me it is basic transportation, Traveling to Bountiful and back every weekend can get pricey, this gets 70-75 MPG if I stay off the Interstate, it has plenty of get up and go for my needs.
If you ever want to stop in, feel free to PM me.

Greg, you mention stretching your legs, I was going to copy this little beauty from another Sertao owner.

I just need to locate some, I haven't looks very hard, I'm sure it won't be too difficult.
I have ridden for three hours straight and not had much issue, I'm sure dirt is a whole neither story, but the distances will also be shorter.

Do it! Highway pegs are awesome when you're spending time on the freeway. I had a pair on my V-Strom and they really helped with comfort when racking up the miles.

My trip went well, let me just say, I hate sand...

It was a great trip, drove just under 500 miles, camped at Lone Warrior in the San Rafael Swell, drove home through Buckhorn Wash on the way out.
The reason I hate sand? I was making good speed(35-40mph) through the dirt road from I-70 towards camp when I hit some silty sand, which caused me to slow down considerably before it stopped me dead, and tossed me off, I'm still new to this whole dual sport thing, and I loved every min. of it, my shoulder hurt like hell for the couple days we were there, but by yesterday it felt better.
I packed WAY more than I needed, That being fuel and clothes, I made it the whole way home on a single tank of gas, the gas light had turned on once I hit I-15 near Provo, I was able to make it the final 45 miles to home before I filled up, however it only took 3.8 gallons.
I have a gopro video of me coming off, but I need to figure out how to edit it as the video is 28 min. long, I also have some 130 gopro pics of the drive to and from.

The rest of my pics are here if any of you wish to view them, nothing too crazy.

Hell and No!
However with the front wheel twitching all over the place and the weight shifting as well certainly made it more excitement than I had hoped for, but if it were easy, everyone would be doing it right?

When I was at the BMW dealer the other day, that's the first thing i said, needs better tires. I'm really surprised it doesn't come with a more aggressive tire. Glad you had good trip. I can't wait to get my next bike. I'm leaning towards the Husky 650 terra now. Same motor as yours, but with more power and I think it's a bit more dirt friendly. Also helps being 3k cheaper.

I will mainly use my Sertao as a commuter, So the street tires aren't a deal breaker, Once the Metzeler Tourance's wear out I will look into some Heidenau K60 or TKC 80, But I have read that the 80's wear out quicker.
The Terra looks like a fine bike for sure! Best of luck.

That's what I was going to say, TKC's would look great, but be pretty impracticable and expensive for a bike that is probably going to see 90% road riding. There are plenty of tires out there that are street-oriented, but still decently capable in the dirt. The Heidenau K60 or MEFO Super Explorer are a couple of them.
