MTB Trails in northern Utah

that is good how early can you shred it?

Well that depends. Riding up to it will generally be dry but the actual bobsled can have wet spots.
You might be good to go the weekend after next.

I personally not much of a DH person but love the whole deal up/down and flats. Park City has a lot of single track riding. You could also hit the south mountain trails by draper. they are pretty good too.
Utahmountainbiking.com has good info. Supposed to be family forum and words are but theres attitude pretty much like every other mtb forum ive visited.

Have fun with it.

I know these aren't in your neck of the woods, but Lambert Park in Alpine is usually dry this time of year, and it's got some really fun trails.

I also love the eagle mountain bike bark (ladders, teeter-totters, etc), as well as the Draper downhill trail (great if you love technical descents)

google "eagle mountain bike park." it's out on the way to snakes.

draper downhill starts at the top of suncrest. It's a downhill only, no walking, no horses, no uphill biking. It's a shuttle route. I'll take you on it sometime. It's pretty technical, and I can't imagine going much faster than 30 MPH at any point on the trail. It's a steep trail, with lots of hairpin turns. But it's a blast.

Nah, 30 MPH is just right for a flowy trail. I've hit 44 on dirt before (and that was on a hardtail), but that was when I was young and I wanted to see how fast I could go. Definitely scary. Your eyes start tearing at that point, and it gets tough to see.. But I'm not into going that fast anymore, it gets scary at that speed.

Since I only come to Utah in winter, except for this year, will it be too darned hot for mountain biking in June and July? I hear it gets pretty warm, but I love riding, so I doubt it will keep me from it. Carry water, cover skin, etc, right? Talking about FR/DH, shuttling or chairlift.
And I have had just about my fill of teary eyes at speed too. I ride with the tightest fitting glasses I can find usually, but even that can only do so much, sometimes I wear my ski goggles. Ha ha!

I had set a goal to make it to Whistler this year, but then life fell apart. Just moving to Utah will have to do. Heh! It should do nicely. :)

Lambert park is dry right now! I rode it twice last week. A little slop on rodeo, but still good.

Moab was dry this last saturday as well, but I wouldn't recommend the trail we did;) It was a little long.
