Well, I'm in error, aparently I took a bypas that was closed, so I'm reposting the link to some pictures and sorry I pissed the old folk off here, didn't mean to cause all that damge I did by driving past an obstical I couldn't make it up. Sheesh...but don't worry, I won't be going on it again!

Pics. http://www.ut-ttora.com/mem_gal/album10

BTW the ugly ass caged thingy was a bronco 2. Stock suspension except for inboarded rear springs and a welded rear. They made almost everything just fine for the most part....

BUT it was really muddy which added a big level of difficulty!

So, you thought it was okay to take the easy out, just because you weren't correctly equipped to handle THE VERY FIRST FREAKIN OBSTACLE??????? Maybe you should have stayed at the mall.

And then, when someone called you on your poor decision making skills, you delete the thread? Let' me get this straight. You were pokin up the trail doin fine until you get to the first obstacle. "Ah man! this mud is hard. Hey look! There is a less-used bypass to the first obstacle. I'll just take the easy way around the obstacle."

WTF???!?!?!

Ok so I made a mistake. I deleted the thread because I said some things that I believe could be better handled over private messaging.....

And like I said in the messages I sent to shawn....to someone there for the first time, The high (bypass) looks more like a trail than staying down low.
I'm curious if anyone made it up monday.

And to be honest with you I made it up the first obstical when I was less "set up" than I am now. But it was dry then.... so for everyones reference I will make a thread, because I know other people even on wild yoats trips took that bypass because I don't think anyone knows that its closed!

Whats the point of a hard trail if you're going to drive around the obstacles? It's like doing prichett only to be winched over or to drive around the only 2 reasonably difficult obstacles. If you can't do them, stay off. Thats my thoughts anyways.

It blowes me away that people use that bypass at the beginign of the con--if you can't make that first obstacle (which isn't that difficult anyways) then you shouldn't be on the rest of the trail. It's good to keep the riff-raff out so the trail doesn't turn into a highway....oh wait, it already did.

So, does anyone have any bright ideas on how to close down that bypass? I think this spring we have 2 major goals on the Con (IMO anyways)..

1) block off that bypass and the new one that is forming at the Nest
2)Plant a winch point/anchor of some sort at the top of the Nest so people have something to winch too instead of a tree.

3) Kick Klifs ass ;)

If you didn't know then we can't hold you to blame, but you do know now so you have no excuse. The only reason to take that bypass is if you can't make the first obstacle, and if you can't make it then you should'nt be on the trail.

What has happened to the con is the reason why we keep the other trails secret.

Honestly I didn't think I would have that much of a problem on it, I made it up before with only one locker. This time I was locked front and rear and I have lower gears. I didn't have any other problems on the rest of the trail....minus the eagles nest, but who HAS made it without a winch?
