Yeah, then I quickly remembered the nightmare of selling things on KSL and took the add down haha :ugh:

I keep thinking I want/need a dual sported 525 EXC.

How does a bike like this handle the freeway?
And what are you asking?

... I keep thinking I want/need a dual sported 525 EXC.

The engine oil and trans oil are separate, and the remaining engine oil is VERY minimal... I don't know that they're the best option for dual sporting. I was looking for one and that's what I concluded... :D

At this point I've talked myself out of selling the 640 (yes again... Once and for all.. Yeah yeah we'll see).

With the EXC I figured I could do light dual sporting a lot more single track and even dunes once in awhile. That and everyone I know does that type of riding. I ride the 640 solo most of the time which is both good and bad. Where the EXC shines it also lacks (oil capacity, higher service intervals, no Cush hub, 2x4 seat etc..). I'd like one to go along side the 640 and I think that's what I'm going to shoot for when/if I get some money saved up.

Anyway I've only ridden the KTM on the freeway @75mph once for about an hour and I didn't hate it. I've spent quite a bit of time on the highways and back roads. Compared to most dirt bikes on pavement it's wonderful--compared to most street bikes I'm sure it's painful. It's right in the middle I think.

Do any of you guys have experience with the Trail Tech Voyager? http://www.trailtech.net/digital-gauges/voyager-moto-gps

My Tripmaster is slowly dying which seems typical of these given the age/milage. I'm thinking the Voyager would fit nicely in my dashboard, but I'm not sure if the map/GPS features are worthwhile or if I should just go with the simpler Vapor model.. Hmm.
