My Mom

Well I just found out through facebook that my mom is in the hospital. We have been dealing with this for the past two or three years, but this is the first time I've had to deal with this from the other side of the world.

The last update I had was that she had complete kidney failure and had gone into a coma. She has since woken up but can't speak because of the respirator and isn't very aware of what's going on.

I don't really do the whole church/religion thing but my parents are stand up Mormans and I know they would appreciate your prayers.

Thanks guys. Even though I don't do it myself I know that my parents appreciate your thoughts and prayers.

I spoke to my dad and my mom is doing a little better but no real updates yet.

Update

Well my mom is doing much better. Her kidneys are back to normal. The doctor decided to keep her on the ventilator one more night as a precaution. So it would seem she is past the worst part of this. Again thank you all for you thoughts and prayers.

Good to hear! Let's hope she recovers quickly. I'm sure that's hard to be so far away and not be able to help. Keep your head up, sounds like she will be back to her normal activities before long.

I just got an update via facebook. My dad said:

"Cindy is doing much better. She was moved out of the hospital into a convalescent home for Physical therapy and speech therapy. She continues to have a bit of memory loss and is very weak but she also continues to amaze me with her ability to bounce back. God is good. Please continue to pray for her. I know it helps more than anything any doctor could do for her. Thank you all"

Quick update.

She is doing very well. Looks like about three more weeks of speech and physical therapy in the convalescent home and she should be able to go home after that.

They are holding out hope that she will be well enough to make it to Utah in early April when I get home. I'm sure they want to see their grand daughter more than me but I'm ok with that.
