Over The Top

I was in Vegas for an arm wrestling competition and saw Stallone pretty up close while part of this was being filmed. I had enjoyed the Rambo stuff and was shocked by what a tiny dude he actually is.

I got beat in the quarter finals by the winner and world champion in my weight class (176-197lbs right hand). Effed up my elbow and quit that shit.

@Gary T actually arm wrestled the guy that the "Over The Top" movie was inspired by (John Brzenk). John came to one of our scout meetings and talked about the movie and the competitions and everything (no idea how the connection was made that got him there though) - even had an arm wrestling table with him. If I remember correctly he was an extra in the movie too.

My Blue Heaven. Another Steve Martin classic.
EDIT: It came out in 1990. Still, classic!

Amadeus
The Final Countdown
BAT*21
Hoosiers (arguably the greatest basketball movie of all time)
Firefox
The Living Daylights (my favorite Bond movie)
WarGames

And if you want to feel really depressed. I've only ever watched these movie once, and they still haunt me:
Testament
The Day After

A few 70’s here but they identify as 80’s movies…

White lightning
Gator ( Jerry Reid as the bad guy, classic…)
Smokey and the bandit
Hooper
Cannonball run
Stroker ace

Who are you people and what do you have against Burt…lol

Sharky's Machine is a Classic Burt movie - highly recommended.

I don't think I saw Top Gun mentioned!

A classic which won 3 Oscars when that might have actually meant something:
On Golden Pond.
