Need 2003 Tj Help!!!

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Does anyone live around Lehi with a 2003 TJ with the 4.0? I'd like to come by and look at some wires under the hood. Must be a 2003 with the 4.0 though. I could come by any time tomorrow. Thanks.

Anyone? I'm heading south today so AM, orem, provo,ect... if not I'll start looking at the dealers. But then I'll have to deal with sales people.

What I'm looking for:
As I understand it in 03 the Leak Detection Pump is located in the wheel well of the passenger rear tire with the 4.0. In 01 it is located on the driver front fender under the hood. I'm not sure about 02. I think it went to the rear. Anyways, I need to know if they left the plugs in the harness up on the front fender.
So if you follow the driver head light back to the firewall it might go like this:
Head light plug, horn plug, washer bottle plug, then maybe some loose plugs just hanging there, then the Evap purge solinoid, ect.
Any takers?

03-06 should have the same emission locations and wiring.

I tried looking at the parts manuals and I don't see a difference in the picture from 97-04. Leading me to believe, the pictures are generic of the wiring. If you know the exact harness it plugs into, I can compare part numbers and see if they superceed to a new number or if that number is used in the newer TJ's.

What are you trying to do? Relocate the junk so you can stretch it? If so, just relocate it. Keep in mind that the canister comes off the shelf and can be mounted remotely and in any position.

I kept the air pump where it's at, because it needs to be close to the gas tank or you will get check engine codes for a leaky tank. The canister I moved under the tub, in front of the tank and between the frame rails. I used good 'ol heater hose. Make sure you don't swap in/out lines on the canister, or your tank won't breathe when you fill it up. Same with make sure your lines are kinked when they make bends.

I'm putting 03 junk into an 01 (very very very long story!) and I think I was sent the wrong harness. The 01 has the leak detection pump mounted to the driver fender under the hood. With the harness they sent me, I can still plug all that stuff in.
I'm trying to find out if I do have the wrong harness or maybe by some luck DC just left the 01 plugs hanging there when they moved the pump to the back of the jeep.

Or I wonder if i got a harness for a 4 cyl instead of a 6 cyl. Would that make a difference?

Chad- I can't get over today. Maybe tomorrow? Will that work for you? Thanks.
