I will, right after thanksgiving. The only thing left will be the hood and cowl.:D
Sounding more and more like mine...:D Of the original body, all that is left on mine is the hood, grill, cowl, and part of the floor. Can't wait to see how it turns out! What are your plans for the floor under the seats?

After Turkey day, The whole thing will be cut off and I will extend the cage even further so it is even with the back edge of the tires at 108" wheelbase. The length will let me fab a new rear seat so I can fit all three kids in there. The new design will have extreme boatsides. Some of the original floor will be used, but not much. I will make the rest of the floor out of 16 or 18 gauge. This will not be for competition. I won't be putting the back seat in for Turkey day..

These are where my inspiration comes from, and the boatsides are like this:

I have never seen any proof. I have never even heard of any, not even shady third hand stories.

Sounding even more like mine. Let me know if you have any questions on boatsides with the original floor. I did about the most extreme boatsides I have seen, and used the original floor under the front seats, kind of a pain in the ass, it might be easier to cut out the entire floor, and start from scratch. You can take a look at mine any time if you want to evaluate your options more. You will love the boatsides, I have yet to even put a scratch in mine, although my frame seems to be taking a bit more abuse because of them.

10 gauge. For a trail rig you could prolly go a little thicker, but I wanted to keep the weight down. I replaced my 1/4" skid plate with 10 gauge too. I was originally a little worried about the boat sides, but they are sooo out of the way it hasn't been an issue. Something in the range of 1/8" seems appropriate.

The whole body gets narrower towards the back of (whats left of) the tub. Let me see if I can find a direct side-on shot.

Can't seem to find a good side shot... Well, basically what I did was put a foot bar between the front hoop, and the main hoop, cut off the rocker panels, and put down bars from the foot bar to the top of the frame. Then I just welded a plate onto those down bars. The only point that it is as wide as the original rocker panels is right behind the front tires. It definately makes it harder to get in, and reduces the amount of spae you have to put your feet, but the clearance is amazing, and well worth it.

Me neither, and I have seen several violent rolls involving pipe, on that comes to mind is Tracy Evans roll at the Cedar City UROC, that was a roll!, The pipe held up fine...
