GM finally released some sketches of the HX project scheduled to become the H4. Being a double Hummer owner I have been waiting for this one.

The new Hummer is aimed at the Jeep JK, although I think it will still be IFS so as far as rock crawling goes.......disadvantaged.

Competition is good for consumers and it might serve to make both vehicles better.

An interesting part of the new Hummer is:

“The HX offers an open-air driving experience via a pair of removable roof panels above the driver and front passenger and a modular, removable rear roof assembly enabling a quick conversion from closed vehicle to open vehicle SUT. It also features a slant back assembly removable doors and fender flairs.”

Sketches came out to announce the vehicle will be shown at the Detroit Auto Show.

The vehicle is being called the 2010 H4.

Speculation is that it will have a diesel.

It's a total knockoff of the Scout III prototype that never went into production. 30 years later, and they all still chase IH.

Hmmmm.

It's a well known fact that the quality of the product wasn't the issue, the problem was marketing and distribution. The company tried to grow too quickly, and it resulted in a top heavy sales channel with too many dealerships for the amount of product available.
