Wow, I thought that would never happen. Very cool. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
This isn't tech, it's FYI or for your enjoyment.V-DAWG said:This should be in Tech! Looks good :greg:
How long is the wheelbase going to be? What t-case are you going to run?
Good reason to buy an Atlas........Meat_ said:. I don't think that poor tcase is going to live long though
This is a special T case........Fester said:Did you paint yer Tcase yellow because its scared of the BB?
Shawn said:Attaching to the frame. The main hoop (top) goes into the frame about 10" and the lower cross member goes in about 4". I also placed a gusset between the two and two kickers. Next I will fab up the tranny support.
Herzog said:That is some stout frame attachment.
I wouldn't be worrying about that section.
I Lean said:Any specific reason you're using a CV on the front shaft, Shawn? Nothing really wrong with it, but it is a little bit odd....

xj_punk said:just curious
why is that unusual?
Well, I have always ran a CV on the front due to drive line angle. I first built this drive line with a regular u joint but the angle was bad. If my right front would have dropped a few inches the u joint would have bound up. I rebuilt the shaft with a CV and it smothed out the angle.I Lean said:Me neither.

Keeping in mind that the lower links will attach to the new cross member.Herzog said:That is some stout frame attachment.
