Nome, Alaska

Alright, so most of the roads are gravel and my rental not being a real trail rig I passed up the fun smaller tails, but fun none the less. Did just enough trails to ad some pinstriping to the rental :D. Drove 800 miles or so over the course of the week.

Spent the week fishing and exploring the area around Nome. Great fishing, stark and barren (but beautiful) tundra views and lots of wildlife (musk ox, caribou, moose etc).

I still have very little luck uploading pics here (probably because I am too lazy to load into something like photobucket) so I will just link over to my post on UOOC.

I know a great family that are from Nome. I've always wanted to visit there. Thanks for the photos.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
Any remains of the Nome National Forest? The tree population goes way up just after Christmas.:D

I miss Alaska so much :(

I can see why. It is kind of an adictive place to visit, esp since different regions of the state are nothing alike. Last year I fished for a week along the Inside Passage (the panhandle) from Prince of Wales Island. Nothing at all like Nome!
