There seemed to be less around 5 mile but the shooting areas to the west were quite messy, we filled my son's truck and several trailers in just one area.
So I decided not to go due to several factors, but heard from a few people today that trash was harder to find this year than in years past-- which is great news! That means that either a. less litterbugs are going out and/or b. more people are packing it out when they go out.
We had 32 people sign up from RME, NAXJA, Cherokee Forum, Bush Eaters, and U4WDA.

We should be getting hundreds of people out to these, not just 20.
As a leader in the community, you could help get hundreds out to service projects by promoting the events and threads with the same enthusiasm you put into your noob runs, multiple build threads, and dirt bike threads.
Maybe in the future we could be a bit more strategic as well. I think a few people ended up running snakes and looking for trash along the way. Fortunately those trails are pretty clean.
Maybe in the future we could have maps with general areas highlighted for people to go to. I didn't know about the shooting area 'till Kurt showed it to me. I assume there are many more places around there that I don't know about that could use lots of hands. I think it's a great event, and I only want to see it grow in size and effectiveness. A HUGE thanks to all who helped.
I would love to have some planning & organizational help Steve. In years past I have asked the BLM management for specific areas they would like us to target with the cleanup and we were given nothing. Having someone that was local and willing to put in a bit of foot work a couple weeks before NPLD and create a specific plan would really help improve our effectiveness.
you got it. I'd be happy to grab a group of guys and scout out potential areas with lots of trash. It's great news that there's less trash out there each year.
Ran the snakes picked up garbage ran into Ben and Kami that was about it picked up what garbage we could find had a great day thanks again Ben for carrying the bike.
